Yesterday we
had a great time celebrating our granddaughter’s 11th birthday, a little
belatedly as I was at Convention on her actual birthday last Saturday.

We took the
family to see the film Paddington Bear – oh my, what a brilliant family film.
We all loved it! Then the girls went off to do some girlie shopping with Mollie
while the boys went off and did whatever it is that boys do!

It had been
arranged that the boys would go home first – no complaints there – while the girls
carried on shopping. It was arranged like this because in the boot of our car
was a 50 inch tall helium gas-inflated balloon of Hello Kitty and it gave the
boys the chance to get it into the house before we arrived home! The look on
Molly’s face when she saw it was indescribable. For several seconds she was
frozen to the spot.
