Week 2 Challenge – Project 4

Uncategorized

19 Jun

Hello, Crafters.

You’ll have noticed
that I’ve called this
blog Project 4 rather
than card no. 4.

This is just the
second time I have
ever done any
stamping on anything
other than paper or
card.

I have used one
of the little Stampin’
Up! Muslin Bags and
stamped the flowers
from Birthday
Blossoms using
Watermelon Wonder
ink.

I stamped the
Happy Birthday
– ever so slightly
wonky! – in Wild
Wasabi ink.

I gave that a very
short time to dry,
maybe just a
couple of minutes,
then I inserted a
piece of card stock
into the bag so it
was directly
underneath the
stamped flowers.

I then used the
Watermelon Wonder
marker pen and went
over the centres of
the flowers.

So easy but so
effective!

I will definitely be
doing more of these.

Yesterday, I was
also preparing for
a Craft Fair I will be
at on Saturday
– more details to
follow.

I have three Hallett
bags that I needed
to make some Thank
You cards for.

I used the flowers
from Birthday
Blossoms for the
Coastal Cabana
card.

I used my Two Way
Glue Pen in the
centre of the flowers
and sprinkled with
Dazzling Diamonds.

Although you can
see this in the
photographs, it looks
nicer in real life.

For the Real Red
cards I used a flower
from the Flower
Shop.

I stamped extra
flowers on scrap
Whisper White and
punched out the
centres using the
flower punch from
the Itty Bitty Accent
Punch Set.

Referring back to my
earlier comment,
the first time I
stamped on something
other than card
or paper, was when
I stamped on tiles
and made coasters.

I thoroughly enjoyed
stamping on the tiles
and then colouring
them.

Best of all was that
the tiles I used didn’t
need to be heat set
nor varnished in any
way.

Tomorrow I shall be
at the Gingham
Goose Summer Craft
Fair & Family Fun
Day at Layham’s Farm
Shop & Nursey,
Layham’s Road,
Keston, BR2 6AR.

It’s open from
10.30am until 4pm.

There is a customers’
car park.

The organisers are
running a Super
Hero & Princess
Treasure Hunt
and there will
be a visit from a
mystery super
hero! A

ll in all it promises
to be a great day.

If you can come along, please come to my stall and say hello – I’d love to see you!

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
