Week 4 Challenge – Card No. 5

Uncategorized

4 Jul

Hello, Crafters.

It’s the weekend again…………how quickly time goes.

Last Wednesday, it was the hottest July day ever, apparently, and the heatwave is set to continue over the weekend.

It’s been a fantastic week for me because I have two new ladies who’ve joined my Stampin’ Up! team – a very big welcome to you both.

On Sunday I’m going to our Stampin’ Stars team training with one of my new ladies.

I’m really looking forward to this because it’ll be my first time!

This is because this is the first time it’s been arranged on a Sunday which suits me better.

Today’s card is number 5 in my week 4 challenge.

I should have called the challenge Watercolour Wings so I may come back to butterflies another time for a challenge but using other stamp sets.

The colour is Delightful Dijon and I started by stamping my Whisper White layer with the spotty stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

I then die cut the two butterflies out and have put them aside to be used for another project. Looking at this project now, I could have stamped straight onto these die-cuts but, never mind, that idea didn’t strike me at the time!

I stamped the two butterflies on Whisper White as follows: step 1. Delightful Dijon, step 2. Delightful Dijon stamped off once, step 3. Delightful Dijon .

The sentiment is from Wetlands and punched out with the Large Oval Punch, layered on to a piece of Delightful Dijon, that has been punched out using the Scalloped Oval Punch.

I have made a sixth butterfly card using Watercolour Wings and made a video showing how I created it.

I will share both the video and the card with you either Wednesday next week or the following Sunday!

For next week’s cards, I have accepted a challenge from one of my blog followers which is alternate uses for the Build a Bird Punch!

Only one idea springs to mind, four more to go!

This is going to be a very interesting challenge – thank you Scrappygirl2010.

If anyone else has a challenge, please let me know! ☺

I hope you all have a really super weekend and until tomorrow, happy crafting!

JanB.
