Week 6 Challenge – Card No. 5

Uncategorized

18 Jul

Hello, Crafters.

I nearly didn’t get card number 5 completed in time!

I knew that I wanted to do selective embossing and I’d found out how to do it.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a 100% success, only about 90%!

At the moment I don’t know why it hasn’t worked properly and will investigate when I get some time.

Anyway, you can be the judge and let me know what you think.

If I close my mind to the fact that there should be a very definite line between embossed and not embossed, I like the look I’ve achieved!

Very briefly, the idea is to make a template of thick cardboard or chipboard, with a cut out – I used number 6 of the Lots of Framelits dies.

This is then put on the embossing folder once the cardstock has been placed inside and put through the Big Shot.

The stamp set I used is Timeless Love and the Embossing folder is Decorative Dots

Don’t forget to let me know if you have a challenge for me to do next week!

In the meantime, have a great weekend.
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

Hi, Frenchie. I will definitely give it a another go because I don't understand why it's not working properly. Sometimes I'm like a dog with a bone – won't give it up. Keep me posted how you get on! Happy crafting and have a great weekend, too. Kind regards, JanB.

I really like the graduated look, actually better than the original/supposed to be look! A lovely card Jan – Julie

Hi, Julie. I still have this card on my desk and keep looking at it. 'm really pleased with the design. I think it's probably one of those instances where nobody else would notice, they would just assume that's the way it's meant to be. Maybe I'll put it for sale at my next craft fair and see what happens. Happy crafting, JanB.
