Hello Crafters.
This is the final card using the forth-coming Reason for the Season stamp set.
It was inspired by a card that was in the demonstrator’s bi-monthly magazine in November 2013.
SU’s design used snowflakes and it was absolutely stunning – a card that had a real WOW.
I can’t remember the name of the stamp set but it had four (or was it three?) different sized snowflakes and matching dies.
I will try and find a photograph of the card I made back then, in time for tomorrow’s blog.
For my first card, I used the poinsettia stamped in Pool Party and Lost Lagoon with Gold Glimmer paper.
I heat embossed the sentiment using Gold Embossing Powder.
For my second card I used Real Red and Old Olive ink with Red Glimmer paper.
I changed things a bit for my third card by using Silver Foil card stock and the colours used are Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum.
I used retired products from last Christmas for the fourth card.
They are Ornamental Pine and Get Ya Santa On, both of which were great stamp sets.
The colours were Real Red and Early Espresso.
I will post a video on Sunday showing how I made this card.
Talking about the Ornamental Pine stamp set, last year I was so behind with making my Christmas cards, I was still working on them on 23rd. December!
I said never again, next year I’m going to have all my Christmas cards made by July!
I used the Ornamental Pine and made 70 cards, all done and dusted, by 31st July 2015! Ta-da!!
That has probably set a precedent so that each year, my Christmas cards will use a stamp set from the previous Christmas!
I can live with that a lot easier than still plodding away making Christmas cards two days before Christmas!!
Yesterday, I said I didn’t think I should be using StazOn Ink on my photopolymer stamps.
When I checked it with UK Support yesterday, they didn’t a problem with it.
So that’s good news……carry on stamping with StazOn!
I hope you have a great weekend.
Until tomorrow, happy crafting,
JanB.
Lovely cards, Jan, looking forward to tomorrow's video.
I thought that it was the StazOn cleaning fluid that is detrimental to your stamps, not the actual StazOn itself. Julie
Hi, Julie. Just about to edit my video so it's ready to go first thing in the morning. That's very interesting what you say about the StazOn Cleaner. If it's the StazOn Cleaner, I'm still in trouble! LOL! I'll get back to UK Support on Monday and double check with them. Thanks for letting me know. Happy crafting, JanB
Where is the video I cant seem to find it.thank you in advanced
