Hello, Crafters.
I am thoroughly enjoying working with the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set and Perfect Pine Framelits Dies – they’re just absolutely gorgeous sets.
In total there are 17 different stamps and 11 dies.
The number of possible creations with these two sets is phenomenal.
When I first saw the three Christmas Tree dies, which are different sizes, I wondered if they would layer.
Yesterday I found out they don’t but I worked out an easy way how to create my own template for size no. 2. Today I will create templates for layering sizes 1 and 3.
I started my card with a base of Cherry Cobbler card stock followed by a layer of Whisper White.
I stamped the Christmas Tree using Garden Green Ink on Cucumber Crush card stock.
On top of this I stamped the Christmas Tree Lights using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
I created my layering template and cut out my tree layer in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
My preferred method of adhering anything to Glimmer Paper is Glue Dots so I adhered the two trees together.
I die cut the word Noel, which is in the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies, twice.
One die cut is in the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and the other one is in Cucumber Crush card stock.
I adhered them together, slightly offset, using Glue Dots.
With the Cherry Cobbler market pen, I drew some red dots on the Noel to emulate the lights on the tree.
I embossed the top Cherry Cobbler layer with the Happy Hearts Embossing folder.
I tied some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding round this top layer before I adhered it to my card base using Fast Fuse.
I adhered the tree to the card front using Dimensionals and Noel using Tombow.
Finally, I very carefully put a very small amount of Crystal Effects on each light on the tree and the “lights” on Noel.
Yesterday evening I had a long chat with fellow demonstrator Natalie about the 3-day Show we’re doing at Sandown from 3rd – 5th September. If you’re in the area, please do pop in to see us on the Stampin’ Up! stand.
In the meantime, until tomorrow, happy crafting.
