Hello, Crafters.
I’ve finally decided on this week’s challenge……………it’s the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies!
I’ve wanted to use these ever since I first received them but I wasn’t sure if I could come up with five different ideas with just three edgelits.
I’ve now made number one so I’m committed – fingers are well and truly crossed!
The edgelits co-ordinate with the Jingle All The Way Stamp Set which I may, or may not, use during this challenge.
For my first card I’ve used Lost Lagoon card stock for the base, followed by a layer of Whisper White with a top layer of Lost Lagoon.
I used the buildings edgelits and die-cut from a piece of Whisper White card stock.
I adhered this to the top layer of Lost Lagoon using Tombow glue.
I stamped the little stars stamp from the Sparkly Seasons Stamp Set very randomly, across the top layer.
I used my Two-way Glue Pen to draw small “snow banks” on the Whisper White, on top of the roofs, and a tiny dot inside all the stars.
I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds all over the card front.
Using some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, I die-cut the word Joy from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits dies.
For the first time, I decided to use our new Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the word to the card.
My first attempt definitely was not very successful. I found it didn’t adhere my sentiment to my card base very well at all. It’s too early to write it off as a failure and assume that the fault was mine.
I will try again and apply more glue than I did this time and keep you posted on my progress. One thing is for sure, if it does work, it’ll be a fabulous addition to our tools – another good reason for persevering!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting,
JanB.
