Hello, Crafters.
I hope you’re enjoying a great weekend.
I’ve just uploaded today’s video which is a two-in-one tutorial. This is the link: Poinsettia Wine Bottle Sleeve.
I say it’s a two-in-one because I show you how to make the wine bottle sleeve as well as the poinsettia. I thought I would have to make it as two separate videos but managed to keep it all in one!
The sleeve was made using the Gift Bag Punch Board.
As I was making it, I saw something that I think will make another project! I haven’t had a chance to give it a go yet because I’ve been so busy recently – maybe during this coming week!
Yesterday’s craft market wasn’t as busy as it normally is but we still sold quite a lot, especially cards, and made plenty of contacts for classes and workshops.
The make-and-take I did for the children was using one of the retired card kits. I gave each child a card base plus a selection of embellishments from the kit.
I layered the pieces on the card for them and said they could follow that design or they could do their own, they could add extra pieces or they could leave some out.
I tried to make it relaxed and encouraged them to do their own thing. It was fascinating watching them!
There was one girl who really changed the design big time – her card was really something for her to be proud of, she did an excellent job.
It was very satisfying working with tomorrow’s crafters!
When I had a chance to check my emails yesterday evening, I found I’d received a follow up from a contact I’d made at the Creative Crafts Show at Sandown Park during the previous week.
It’s for a workshop, quite local to where I live but it’s for Monday week, so not much notice and not much time to prepare for it. I’ll contact the person tomorrow and find out what she’d like. If I can do it, I’ll be delighted to be able to say yes. I’ll keep you posted about how I get on.
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
