Hello, Crafters.
My classes went really well yesterday. I don’t normally allow children but I did have a six year old attendee!
Eve’s mum is one of my regulars and asked if she could bring her along as her mum wasn’t able to this week. Eve is an amazing card maker, even more so because of her age, so I agreed.
I didn’t make any concessions for her………she had to do the same projects as everyone else and she was amazing!
I’m off to team training today and one of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! gatherings is the swaps! I still need to finish mine off before I leave in about an hour’s time! I’ll make sure I photograph them so I can show you tomorrow.
This is today’s video: Woodland Embossed Pillow Box.
I made this pillow box in Chocolate Chip Card Stock during my recent weekly challenge that was on the Woodland Embossing Folder.
I changed the colour to Marina Mist. I had already made a pillow box in this colour and was showing it on screen. I used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper as the backing for the gift tag and said I would be using Marina Mist Card Stock as the backing for the one I was making on screen.
Then I had a light bulb moment! I thought, why not make my own glimmer paper in Marina Mist! I didn’t know if it would work or not, but I decided to give it a try there and then! Ta-daa! It worked! And looked brilliant…… …..and that’s what I based today’s swap on.
When I get home early this evening, I have to start prepping for my workshop tomorrow morning. Never a dull moment!
I hope you have a lovely Sunday and happy crafting.
Until tomorrow,
JanB
