Flowering Fields Thank You Cards

Uncategorized

29 Jan

Hello, Crafters.

Yesterday was a very frustrating day for me because I was expecting my delivery from Stampin’ Up! As it hadn’t arrived by late afternoon, I checked the UPS website and saw they had changed my delivery date to today.

Normally I’d take it in my stride but I really needed to have the Shimmery White Cardstock for tomorrow’s lessons. So I’ve had to change my projects to others that don’t need this particular product!

Although it’s my fault for allowing my stock to run out, it doesn’t make it any less frustrating. Ah well, looking on the positive side, at least I know what my February projects are going to be! LOL!!

On a brighter note, these are my latest Thank You cards. The image and sentiment are the same on all of them but with various colours for the flowers.

There are many variations but all the Designer Series Papers (DSP) and the leaves are in Cucumber Crush.

The diagonal white dashes and the check design are both from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack. The writing design is from the 2015-2017 In Colour DSP Stack.

Each of these two designs are adhered in two different ways. The first way is with the top and bottom edges of the DSP lined up with the top and bottom edges of the  notecard.

This was the way I had planned it. When I was making the cards, I stamped the image from the Flowering Fields Stamp Set (which is available as a free product during Sale-A-Bration) first. Unfortunately, some images were higher than others and the base of the stem would have shown above the DSP had I not adhered it higher than planned.

It wasn’t helped by the fact that the DSP strips varied in widths! So I had to adhere the lower DSP higher which left a gap at the bottom, so I put the top one a bit lower to keep an even balance! I’m happy with both designs.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and was stamped in Cucumber Crush Ink. The markers I used for the flowers were Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Melon Mambo. I can really say I don’t have any favourites in all of the twenty one cards I made – I really do like them all! ☺

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
