I was so busy yesterday, I allowed myself to be distracted and forgot to Publish my blog when it was ready! So here it is today. Hopefully I’ve picked up on the bits I needed to change so it reads as if I’ve written it today……………….
Yesterday morning, I published my Slanted Sentiment Video which shows how I made the card I shared here on Friday.
This time, I turned the layout round and put the large flower at the top – I definitely think it looks better this way.
In case you missed my post on Friday, please see the last photograph to see what this card looks like the other way round!
There are so many variances that can be applied to this card as well as whether to have the large flower at the top or the bottom!
You can create two totally different looks to the triple flower by the way you layer them together.
You can also ring the changes by adding Rhinestones or Pearls to the flower centres.
Photographs 1 and 3: this is the card I made during the video.
I chose Watermelon Wonder and a design from Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Photographs 2 and 4: I chose Sweet Sugarplum for the card base and the Rich Razzleberry script design is from the Brights Collection DSP Stack.
I also used Sweet Sugarplum to layer the banner on!
At a quick glance, you may not notice that I’ve used two different colours of cardstock but this shows how easy it is to mix and match Stampin’ Up! colours.
When I made this card, I didn’t realise that the Iced Rhinestones had retired!
Photographs 3: shows what the triple flower looks like when each layer is alternated.
Photograph 4: shows what the triple flower looks like when each layer is lined up with each other.
Photograph 5: the card base is Flirty Flamingo – why do I keep calling this Flighty Flamingo! LOL! – and the design is from the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP.
Photograph 6: this is the card I shared on Friday and felt it was upside down!
I really surprised myself yesterday!
It was the fourth of the month and I posted all my May Customer Thank You Gifts out.
If only I could do it this quickly every month!
I think I was helped by the fact that the end of the month – the day I closed the Hostess Code – was at the beginning of the week i.e. Tuesday.
I was able to order the hostess gifts and they were delivered on Friday.
I was absolutely amazed!
The day after that, I placed my order from the new catalogue and I received confirmation this morning that it has been shipped!
I always expect orders to take an extra two or three days when there’s a new catalogue launch but not this time.
A big shout out to Stampin’ Up! A big THANK YOU and very well done!
That’s about it for today. I wish you a happy week and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
