Craft Retreat – Day 2 Edited

Uncategorized

12 Sep

PLEASE NOTE: this post has been edited. JanB.

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you’ve had a great weekend.

The  second project was Hallett Bag Mk II! LOL! See photographs 5 – 6. I’m calling it that because Caroline shared another bag on Facebook she’d made ages ago.

When I saw it, I made one and shared it on my Facebook page and called it the Hallett Bag! I know the original idea wasn’t Caroline’s but it was her bag that had inspired me. Then it went viral, everybody loved it and everybody was making it adding different spins! Since then, the name Hallett Bag has stuck and now we have Mk II!

Yesterday hubby went walkabouts in Folkestone while I was crafting and came home with lots of interesting stories he’d learned about the town! Today, he’s taking me to see these places, so the stories will become more real for me.

Hopefully, I can share them with you tomorrow! ☺

As our daughter isn’t 100% well, once we’ve had a look around the town, we’re going home. After we’ve had breakfast, packed and checked out, we’re going to spend to or three hours going  around the town and then we’ll drive home.

Both hubby and I will feel more relaxed knowing we’re just ten minutes away from Vicki, rather than an hour and a half.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

Hi Jan, looks like you had a great time at your retreat. I go for mine on Friday, and come back on Sunday. I'm sure going to miss your daily blog, I'll have to catch up when I get home. I sure love that box and cards, and the Hallett bag that you made. I hope you will do a video on both of them when you get a chance. I hope your daughter is doing better, fingers crossed…Ann in Calgary

Hi, Ann. I hope you have a fabulous time at your craft retreat, too. I'd love to see the projects that you do! Yes, I'm definitely hoping to do videos on these projects. The first step for me is to re-do them here at home, so I know how long each project takes when I'm working on my own! My daughter is reasonably OK thanks, Ann, but there is definitely something not right! The sooner they identify the problem and deal with it, the better. ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.

Hi, Pearl. It was the first Retreat I've been to and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, I'll certainly make a video of the Hallett Bag MkII, and also the box of cards & tags. ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.

Would love to see you do these on a video (each one) … so glad that you had such a wonderful experience, but really hope your daughter is going to be alright … so sorry. Hi, Geraldine. Te projects were great. Tomorrow's video shows how to make this box, but my design. I'm doing a separate video for the cards and tags. Again, they'll be my own design to coordinate with the box! ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
