Falling In Love

Uncategorized

6 Jan

Hello, Crafters.

WAHOO!
I’ve just hit 15,009 subscribers on YouTube! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
THANK YOU! To say I’m thrilled is a bit of an understatement!

I
appreciate YouTube isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, which makes this number
even more fantastic. If you’re a YouTuber, thanks a million!

Have
you seen this fabulous ribbon in the new Spring catalogue?

When I first
saw it, I had to do a double-take because I hadn’t seen it available in
either catalogue.

Then I realised it was the new Very Vanilla 1/4″
Satin Ribbon (page 51 Spring Catalogue) on top of the new Very Vanilla
1/2″ Lace Trim (page 179 Annual Catalogue).

Don’t you think it looks
absolutely gorgeous like this? This is what inspired today’s card.

It
was also a great opportunity to use the same Lace Doilies idea I used on
the top of the Pack Flat Box I featured in last Sunday’s video.

I
started today’s card with a base of Sahara Sand Cardstock (CS), a
layer of Very Vanilla CS and a top layer of one of the Sahara Sand
designs in the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Using
Tombow, I adhered the DSP to the Very Vanilla layer.

I took a length of
each ribbon and adhered together with a little bit of SNAIL at intervals
along the back of the satin ribbon.

I adhered at the back of the card,
just under halfway down. Using Tombow, I adhered this layer to the card
base.

Using
the Botanical Builder Framelits, I die cut a flower and a flower
centre in Very Vanilla CS and adhered the two together.

I adhered the
doily in position, and then adhered the flower in the centre.

I finished
my flower off by adhering a Falling In Love Embellishment in the
centre.

Using
Sahara Sand Ink, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla
Cardstock and then quickly dipped it into my box of Clear Embossing
Powder and heat set it.

I adhered it to my card front using
Dimensionals.

I added a layer of Very Vanilla CS insde and stamped a
sentiment and flower from the Falling for You Stamp set using Sahara
Sand Ink.

The final step was to add some Rhinestones to the front
sentiment.

I think this is going to be my favourite Suite! Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

 JanB.

Hi, Kaye. The ribbons look brilliant together don't they. I was working on another project today and put the ribbons the other way round i.e the Satin Ribbon at the bottom and the Lace Trim on top and it looked brilliant that way round too! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
