Yippee!
With just eight days to go before I’m off to OnStage in Amsterdam, I’ve
started making my swaps!
As always my goal is to make 120 but I’m
planning extra this time so I can send one each to all my March customers!
I
made fourteen complete swaps yesterday and I’m halfway through the next
twenty.
I may be burning the midnight oil over the weekend but at least I’m in with a chance now!
Today’s
video shows how I brayered the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer
Series Paper (DSP).
I also show how I decorated the DSP, the first sheet using a
white gel pen, and the second sheet using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter
Pen.
I used the sheet that I’d decorated with the white gel pen to create the 6o birthday card.
In the centre of the sheet there was a lovely big flower that had been painted with the white gel pen.
Please note: Stampin’ Up! no longer sell white gel pens.
Unfortunately, it was
covered up when I added the embellishments.
It was disappointing, but it’s a lesson learned i.e. plan ahead where the design on the DSP is going to appear!
On another positive aspect, I see it
as another opportunity! LOL!
Yesterday
I shared the Mint Macaroon wedding card I’d made using the stripe design from this
set of DSP.
On the video I showed two more of the designs used to
make cards.
They are the hollow circles and also the diamonds created by
diagonal lines crossing each other.
That
leaves two more designs that I haven’t used at all yet.
They’re both
floral designs, one which has the same flower all over but different sizes, and the other one has various small flowers, like the DSP I used on the video but
without any leaves. Just thinking!!
That’s about it for today. I’m off to my studio to concentrate on swaps. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Amazing how seeing the video shows the wonderful possibilities for this project. I think they're all quite brilliant, and quite loved these last two. Think the Happy B/D sentiment stood out more with the Dazzling Diamonds mat behind it. I was really intrigued to see what you would come up with to use the brayered background DSPs and you've done an absolutely brilliant job with it, so well done! Aren't the new brayers wonderful?! TFS … can't promise I'll be doing this one, but really fun to view!!
