I hope you’ve had a great weekend.
I
started playing with today’s card last week before my trip to
Birmingham, and spent yesterday afternoon ironing out the problems I’d been having!
I
started by stamping the kitty from the Made With Love Stamp set using
Basic Black Archival Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (CS).
This is the only stamp set I used for this card that’s retiring on 31st.
May 2017 – the other three are all being carried forward.
I
stamped another kitty on a Post It Note, making sure the head was on the
sticky part, and then cut it out so I could use it as a mask.
I put it
over the first stamped image, and stamped over it, again using Basic
Black Archival Ink, with the chair image from the In This World Stamp
Set.
I
removed the mask and coloured the image using Marker Pens as follows:
Kitty, ears and nose – Blushing Bride; Kitty, head and body – Sahara
Sand; Chair, wooden frame – Crumb Cake; Chair, padded seat and back –
Sweet Sugarplum.
I put the mask back on the Kitty and stamped the
flowery stamp from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set as a background for
the image.
The ink was Sahara Sand and I stamped off three times before
stamping onto the image.
I
grounded the chair using the Crumb Cake Marker Pen.
Next, using the Circle
Stitched Shape Die, I die cut the image and layered it onto two sizes of
Sweet Sugarplum scalloped circles I’d die cut using the Layering Circle
Framelits.
Using
Sweet Sugarplum Ink and the Thank You sentiment from the Rose Wonder
Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment on a wide strip of Whisper White CS
and quickly dipped it in Clear Embossing Powder.
Then I used
my Heat Tool to heat set it.
I stamped the background the same way I
did with the kitty on the chair image.
I fish tailed the end using my
Triple Banner Punch and layered it onto a strip of Sweet Sugarplum CS,
that I’d also fish-tailed.
I
assembled the card but wasn’t quite sure how to decorate the left hand
side of the sentiment!
After playing around with a bow in numerous
different positions, I settled for a single strip of ribbon, also with a
fish-tailed end.
I folded the top of the ribbon over to get a neat
edge and held it in place with a Glue Dot, and then Glue Dots top
and bottom to hold in place on the card front.
For the inside of the card I stamped the kitty and the chair separately on a piece of Whisper
White CS using Basic Black Archival Ink.
Using the same colours as
previously, I coloured both images.
I know the Kitty looks a tad out of
proportion with the chair, but for my card, it’s a small chair! Hehe!
That’s it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

What a sweet card! The little kitty looks almost dejected sitting there all by herself on the chair … love how you've finished the inside too. So sweet and beautifully executed too! Love it!
Hi, Geraldine. Yes, she ;looks as if she's sitting on the naughty chair! LOL! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
