Daisy Delight Daisy

Uncategorized

6 Jun

Hello, Crafters.

Do you agree that these two colours go together brilliantly – Lemon LIme Twist and
Tranquil Tide?

I think it’s a brilliant combo!

Today’s card is my first
real play with the daisy in the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and the Daisy
Punch.

I
started my card with a base of Tranquil Tide Cardstock (CS), followed
by a layer of Lemon Lime Twist CS and a top layer from the Fresh Florals
Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack.

I stamped the daisy twice onto a piece
of Whisper White CS, offsetting the petals with the second stamp.

I
layered this onto a piece of Lemon Lime Twst CS and then a layer of
Tranquil Tide CS.

Before I adhered the image to the card front with
Dimensionals, I added a strip of of Fresh Florals DSP layered onto a
strip of Tranquil Tide CS.

Using
Tranquil Tide Ink, I stamped the Birthday GREETINGS sentiment, which is
from the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set, onto a piece of Whisper White CS.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits, oval die no.2 to die cut the
sentiment.

I layered this onto a Lemon Lime Twist Scalloped Circle, die
cut using the Layering Oval Framelits.

This was then layered onto a
straight cut oval – from the same set of dies – of Tranquil Tide CS.

This was also adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.

To
create the 3D daisy, I stamped it three times onto a piece of Whisper
White CS, using Tranquil Tide Ink.

Then I punched them out using the Daisy Punch.

I curled all
the petals around a pencil, and then adhered all three daisies on top of
each other, offsetting each layer, by applying Tombow into the centre
circle only.

For the centre of the daisy, I stamped the outline stamp of the daisy centre,
which is one of two, two-step stamping stamps, using Tranquil Tide Ink
on Lemon Lime Twist CS.

I punched it out using a half inch Circle Punch,
and adhered it in the centre of the daisy with Tombow.

To
decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the daisy, using Tranquil
Tide Ink, in the bottom right-hand corner of a Whisper White CS layer.

I
created a centre for the daisy in the same way I created the one on the
front of the card.

I adhered this layer to a Lemon Lime Twist Layer and
then into the centre of the card.

We really do have some fabulous produts in our new catalogue.

I’m so looking forward to my delivery which is due on Wednesday!

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

Hi, Geraldine. I'm glad you like it, too! And to think I didn't like Lemon Lime Twist originally! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.

What a stunning card, I think I will have to invite that daisy set to come live with me, seeing what you did makes it look so much better than in the book

Hi, Kaye. I agree! I'm not really into daisies but this stamp and co-ordinating punch work so well together, it's brilliant. I hope you don't have to wait for your new lodger to arrive! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.

Hi, Pearl. Just like me! I thought it was going to be very gaudy because I thought it was fluorescent! Although it's still a bright colour, it's somewhat muted. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
