Warlingham Village Fair Today

Uncategorized

17 Jun

Hello, Crafters.

Today
we shall be in the Craft Marquee at the Warlingham Village Fair.

It
starts at 10.30 am with the official opening at 11 am when the parade arrives at
the Nature Reserve.

It’s always a fabulous day for families,
and couples alike.

The address is Blanchman’s Farm Nature Reserve,
Limpsfield Road, Warlingham, CR6 9LW.

You may remember when we did this
Fair last year and I had big trouble trying to drive the car up the very
small hill at the entrance.

We’d had so much rain in the run up to the
Fair, that it was just mud, mud and more mud – my first, and hopefully
only, experience of rally driving! LOL!

The weather today is a fabulous
sunny day, so if you live fairly close by, do pop along to say hello –
it would be lovely to see you!

Yesterday
I played with another one of the new Dynamic Embossing Folders (EF),
Layering Leaves.

I have kept the card very minimal so I exposed a lot of
the actual embossing – if you look closely, you’ll see the real beauty of this EF!

The design on this EF is very clever in as much
as there are three different layers of leaves, that is, three different
depths of embossing.

I wasn’t expecting this effect, but I would have
done if I’d paid more attention tto the picture on the front of the EF
packet!!

The various leaves are depicted as light, medium and dark, to
indicate the depth of embossing.

It wasn’t until after I had embossed my
cardstock and had a proper look at the result that I could see leaves
embossed on top of other leaves.

It’s really amazing, so very clever!

To
make my I card I put a layer of Crumb Cake Cardstock (CS) on top of a
Whisper White CS card base.

I adhered the three layers together, and
adhered a layer of Crumb Cake and Whisper White CS inside the card.

Using
Crumb Cake Ink stamped off once, I stamped the daisy from the Daisy
Delight Stamp Set three times on Whisper White CS.

I punched the daisies
out with the co-ordinating punch, curled the petals and adhered them
together off-setting the petals as I went.

I stamped the centre of the
flower on a scrap of Crumb Cake CS using Crumb Cake Ink stamped off
once.

I punched the centre out with a half-inch punch and adhered in the
centre of the flower, which I then painted with the Fine Glue Tip Pen,
so it would dry with a shiny look.

I
stamped the sentiment and fish-tailed the end using the Triple Banner
Punch.

I layered it onto a piece of Crumb Cake CS that I had also
fish-tailed.

The sentiment has been adhered with Dimensionals and the
daisy has been glued on with Tombow.

I decorated the Whisper White layer
inside the card with one stamp of the daisy using Crumb Cake Ink,
stamped off once.

I adhered and off set daisy I’d made in the same way
as for the front, together with the same centre but unglazed.

That’s it for today.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

Oh, isn't this exciting! The EF AND the craft fair! Hope you have a lovely time away and enjoy your experience there. The EF is truly lovely, as is the simple design of your card, which showcases it beautifully!
