This week I’ve spent a
lot of time workng with our Foil Snowflakes, not least because that’s
what we’ll be working with during this weekend’s classes.
Today’s
card is quite simple but I picked out a stamp from the Rose Wonder
Stamp Set and a die from the co-ordinating Rose Garden Thinlits.
Unfortunately, my photographic skills don’t do my card the justice it deserves, but I think you can see enough to appeciate the beauty of the finished card.
I
started with a Whisper White Cardstock (CS) card base, a layer of Silver
Foil and a top layer of Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper.
I adhered the
three pieces together using Tombow.
Then
I took a piece of Whisper White CS, and wiped over it with my Embossing
Buddy.
I stamped the snowflake image from the Snowflake Sentiments
Stamp Set using Versamark Ink.
I sprinkled Silver Embossing Powder over
the image, removed the excess powder and heat set the remainder.
Using
the Stitched Shape Framelits, I die cut the image.
I put SNAIL on the
back of the image, and then positioned it in the centre of the Silver
Foil Snowflake.
I added some Glue Dots on the back of the Snowflake, but
I made sure they were adhered underneath the image circle.
I adhered
this on the top half of the card front.
I
chose the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set, but I wanted
it to be framed by something!
I went through all my current stamp sets
and found an unusual shape in the Rose Wonder Stamp Set that was
suitable because it was the right size and had a co-ordinating die.
I
took another piece of Whisper White CS, and wiped over it with my
Embossing
Buddy.
I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink, and sprinkled Silver
Embossing Powder over the
it.
After I’d removed the excess powder, I heat set the remainder.
Then I
repeated the process with the outline stamp from the Rose Wonder Stamp
Set, and stamped it centrally over the sentiment.
Then I heat embossed
it using Silver Embossing Powder.
After I die cut the sentiment, I
adhered it to the bottom half of the card front using Glue Dots.
I added
three round Metallic Enamel Shapes in silver.
For
the inside of the card, I heat embossed another snowflake using Silver
Embossing Powder in the bottom right hand corner of the top Whisper
White layer.
I adhered this onto a layer of Silver Foil and adhered the
two pieces inside the card.
Now I have to get everything prepared for this afternnoon’s class.
I think I have more or less everything ready, apart from putting the packets for the 3D project together, and setting the room up!
Time to get busy, methinks!
I hope you have a great weekend. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Looks like a beautiful card, Jan … and like it dazzles. It's always tricky to photograph anything like that, but for sure, enough shows up & when you're familiar with the products used, it's easy to see just how striking a finished product it is! Love it!!
