Framed Butterflies

Uncategorized

5 Jan

Hello, Crafters.

As I
said the other day, I love New Year as it’s a chance for a fresh start.

Another way of looking at this is to say it’s the making of New Year’s
Resolutions (NYR) that is the opportunity for a fresh start!

You may remember last year I
said I’d decorate the insides of my cards, which I think I’ve done with
the exception of maybe a couple of occasions.

Unusually for
me, I didnt make a resolution this year, which is unlike me, but I can’t always think of something sensible that I know
I’m in with a chance of succeeding!

A couple of hours ago, I decided on my
2018 NYR! YAY! I love a challenge!

I am going to schedule my blog to go live at the same time
every day!

That means I have to have a day with no blog, and that day is
today, because the blog I was going to post today has been scheduled for 7 am GMT
tomorrow morning.

I’ve never missed scheduling my videos for 7 am GMT
on Wednesdays and Sundays since I started doing them three and a half years ago – so how difficult
can it be doing it with a blog? We’re about to find out!

I’ve
decided to share two framed butterflies, that I made as a special order
for another crafter who wanted them personalised as Christmas presents.

I
met Hannah at a Craft Fair last October, and she she asked if I could
make two for her, one with NAN and one with MUM under the butterfly.

At
the same time, I fell in love with a large wooden tree in a box frame which Hannah had made.

She personalised these to order, so I ordered one for Vicki, Leigh,
and blended family. It’s about 20″ x 20″. I’ll try and remember to photograph it next time we’re over
their house.

Unfortunately, Hannah has now given up making these as her life
is moving on.

I used Berry Burst for MUM and Mint Macaroon for NAN – it’s on occasions like this that I’m happy to used retired products!

That’s it from me today. Any feedback about my New Year’s Resolution – ositive and not-so-positive will be very welcome! Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
