Hello, Crafters.
I have seen several crafters using our Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies like this and love the effect it gives. I’m still into plain white with minimum of colour. This is the first time I have tried this technique, and I didn’t do it quite right. I now know how to do it, and next time it’ll be plain sailing. What I did wrong isn’t visible so I’ll tell you what I did! I die cut the image bigger than the Stitched Shape frame, but not big enough for the outside border. To correct this, I very carefully glued the image to the back of the frame, and cut an extra piece for the layer. I think I need to plan a video showing how it’s done!
I hadn’t noticed the WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM sentiment before, but I love it, and it’s a good size to balance the image. Both the image and the sentiment have been heat embossed in gold, and the middle layer is in Gold Foil. I have followed this through inside the card as well. That is, the Gold Foil middle layer, and the star has been heat embossed in Gold Embossing powder.
I only bought the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder to see what it’s like in real life, and I’m so pleased I did! It’s absolutely fabulous, especially for a card like this one! It reminds me of Co’ordination Cardstock but with more detail and softer looking! I was using it earlier today for the card I’m featuring in Sunday’s video! The three stars above the sentiment are from the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set, which was brought forward from last Christmas.
There isn’t much else I can say about today’s card. It’s one of those where the beauty is in the simplicity. I hope you like it, too. That’s it from me today, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

Ooooh! LOVE THIS! So clean and elegant! This one kind of got by me this time around too … almost! I love this sentiment too, but have had it for years on another stamp company’s set, so when I saw it in this stamp set, I went for it too. Quite like the stylized image and your beautifully framed presentation! I can see myself casing this one, my friend! Thank you for sharing and I would certainly welcome a video too.
