Hello, Crafters.
If you’re one of my YouTube subscribers, you may remember how excited I was to share the Santa’s Workshop Designers Series Paper (DSP) at the end of one of my videos. It had arrived the day I was making the video, and I hadn’t realised that a lot of the sheets had white flock on them. My favourite was the one with the snowmen, so that’s the design I decided to work with yesterday.
The first image I chose was the one where the little green elf is handing the snowman a gift. To make sure I could get both images on my gift tag, which measured 2″ x 4.5″, I fussy cut them as two images and then adhered them on to the tag. To make the snow for the two images to stand on, I took a 2″ strip of Whisper White Cardstock (CS), and tore an uneven surface towards me to get the rough edge I wanted. I adhered this piece in place, and then painted all over with glue. If you use Tombow, spread it thinly over the CS or it will take ages to dry. Then I dipped the bottom half of my tag in my box of Dazzling Diamonds. I painted the snowman and elf in the same way and dipped them in the Dazzling Diamonds! They were glued to the tag with Tombow, and I finished off by adding snow by using my white gel pen.
I created a label for the back by die-cutting an oblong of Whisper White CS using the die from the Frosted Bouquet Frame. I mounted the TO, FROM, and DO NOT OPEN TIL CHRISTMAS stamps on one Clear Block in the positions I wanted to stamp them. The positions made it easy to ink the top two stamps in Real Red Ink, and then I turned the block round 180°, and inked the sentiment in Call Me Clover Ink. I finished the label off by stamping two holly leaves from the Merry Christmas To All Stamp Set. I added some snow with my white gel pen, and finished off by adding some Real Red Ribbon. I chose two more images and made a second tag. If you’re not into fussy cutting, check out the images in the Signs of Santa Stamp Set! This whole suite is just so cute!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s gift tags, and maybe you’ll give them a go! That’s about it from me today, so until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
