Hello, Crafters.
I hope you’ve enjoyed a lovely relaxing weekend, and have recharged your batteries so you’re ready to enjoy this new week. Yesterday I started playing with the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, which was one of the goodies we were given when we were on the Alaskan Incentive Trip in July.
The first card I made is the one with the fussy cut snowman and elf from Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). The reason it’s a Specialty DSP is that eight of the sheets have been highlighted with flock. In November, there’s going to be a special promotion called Snowflake Showcase – click this link to see the flyer. Included in the products is some white Velvet Paper – like flock – so it goes brilliantly with the Santa’s Workshop DSP.

This is the inside of the second card where Mrs Claus looks as if she’s standing in a puddle of tar!
I spent some time yesterday die cutting lots of snowflakes – all three sizes – from the Velvet Paper, using the Santa’s Signpost Framelits Dies. On the two Poppy Parade cards I made yesterday, I adhered a layer of Whisper White Cardstock (CS), and then a layer of the stripe design from the DSP. All the white on this sheet is velvet (flock). It’s absolutely gorgeous! The DSP is on page 19 in the Christmas catalogue and the Cards & Envelopes are on page 21.
The second card I made has the same layers, more snowflakes, but with stamped images from the Signs of Santa Stamp Set. I prefer this card except for my boo boo inside the card! I picked up the wrong Marker Pen to ground Mrs Claus and used black instead of grey…………………..she look as if she’s standing in a puddle of tar!
The packet of Cards & Envelopes includes ten cards that measure 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and ten cards that measure 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, and all for €10.25/£8.00 which is amazing value. The cards are Poppy Parade on the outside i.e. front and back of the folded card, and white on the inside. I don’t know the weight of the cardstock, nor the envelope paper, but I can tell you they are good heavyweight quality.
I’m going to be using more of the cards today to see other ideas I can come up with! I wish you a happy Monday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
Products Used – please note that the White Velvet Sheets will only be available during November 2018.
