Hello, Crafters.
After the amazing response I received last week when I shared my fussy-cut snowmen gift tags, I decided to design something similar using stamps. After I came up with today’s gift tag design, I made a co-ordinating Christmas card. Then I went one one step further and made a divided box to hold five cards and envelopes, as well as five tags! It will make such a lovely gift.
At the end of today’s video I give a sneak peek of the card which will be Sunday’s video. You’ll only have to wait until the next Wednesday to see and make the box as well! I made a similar box about two years ago, but the cards it held were 3″ x 3″, whereas this new box will hold full A6 (A2) sized cards.
The first thing I had to do was to remind myself how to make one of these boxes! I thought it was bad news when I first realised that a 12″ x 12″ wasn’t big enough, but then I realised it was a blessing in disguise! The box has to made in two parts, and adhered together. Each part can be cut from a standard sheet of cardstock – that’s both A4/Letter size. Now that I’ve worked out how to make the box, I just need to work out a good design to decorate it – no worries there!
I don’t often write on here about my Facebook group called Happy Crafters, because I appreciate that many crafters aren’t fans of Facebook. I have been very lucky that many of my YouTube subscribers share their projects directly with me. I decided to set up the group so crafters can share their projects with other crafters. It would be lovely to see you over there! This is the link Happy Crafters
That’s about it from me today. Until tomorrow, have a great day and happy crafting!
JanB.
