Hello, Crafters.
Today’s video was inspired by a video I saw by France Martin aka Frenchie. She made a storage box for the Take Your Pick Tool but she bought some sort of a case and “converted” it. As I didn’t know what the case was that she was using, I decided to design my own box.
There are two reasons why the idea of a storage box really appealed to me. Firstly, it suits my tidy mind, where there’s a place for everything, and everything in it’s place. Secondly, I thought it’s a great box for anyone who is planning to gift the tool and accessories to someone. When the Take Your Pick arrives from Stampin’ Up! it’s in a plain brown cardboard box, which I imagine could be decorated to make it look more attractive. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much about the box as it was one of the gifts we received when we were on this year’s Incentive Trip to Alaska. I had discarded my box during the process of getting packed ready to leave the ship – if we didn’t need it, we left it behind!
With the Mint Macaroon box, I think I should have used the design on the Share What You Love Desiner Series Paper the other way round! Minor detail, but as I’m sitting here writing, it’s on the shelf in front of me and it looks wrong. LOL! On all three boxes, I painted the bow and decorative strips using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. Once I’d finished that, I added a large (retired) gem which, together with the Wink of Stella added a lovely amount of bling without going OTT! I’m pleased with this project and hope you like it, too! That’s about it from me today. I hope you enjoy the video, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
