Hello, Crafters.
I hope you’re enjoying a very relaxing weekend. Today’s video shows how I made my October customers’ Thank You gifts – Candy Cane Pockets. It was a new design for me, and as I was so late sending out my Happy Mail – I was away for four days for the Onstage Convention – I didn’t have too much time to experiment. The result was that they were very fiddly to make; this is fine for me, but wasn’t ideal for a video.
Once I had finally put everything in the post, I was able to relax, and play with these pockets until I found a much easier way to make them. After three attempts, I had it sussed, and I’m pleased with the result! I hope you enjoy it, too! If you want to make these for small gifts, you can die cut or punch a fancy shape in Whisper White Cardstock, and adhere to the back for your message. If you like the idea, but not the Santa outfit, you can easily substitute the belt for a stamped image, or sentiment, and miss off the buttons.
I case’d my Customer Thank You cards from a swap I received from a lady in my team. It was absolutely gorgeous, and I was so pleased with the result. Denise used full sized cards for hers, but I used our 5″ x 3″ Note Cards. Apart from the size, and the colour of the ink – Denise used Grapefruit Grove, I used Blushing Bride – our designs were the same. The stamp set was Petal Palette, and the Designer Series Paper was Petal Promenade.
That’s about it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday, and look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

Bonne journée.
Bonjour, Veronique. Bonne fabrication. JanB. xx
