Hello, Crafters.
Before I share today’s card, Stampin’Up! have announced that we will be running out of some products in the Christmas catalogue, maybe as soon as next week. This is the list for the European market (please contact your SU demonstrator if you’re in either the North American or South Pacific markets). If any of these products are on your wishlist please order sooner rather than later. Just click on any image below, and you will be taken to my online Stampin’ Up! shop! There are three products marked TO BE CARRIED FORWARD. Please remember to use the November Hostess Code – 4B2YR73K – unless your order is £150 or more.

For today’s card, I CASE’d a card in our Christmas Catalogue on page 28. Although I’ve stayed with the same products and the same colour scheme, there are some small changes I’ve made. First of all, the SU card has the pine branches and berries in diagonally opposite corners, and I have used the top two corners. And to be honest, this was a mistake! I had every intention of using the same corners as SU, but I lost concentration for a split second, and started stamping on the wrong corner! My options were to start again or carry on! I decided on the latter because I don’t like waste!
As it turned out, I’m very happy with how it looks! What I wasn’t happy with was a green mark in the middle of my Whisper White Cardstock (CS) layer! So clumsy!! It’s now covered with a Merry Merlot flower! I found some die cut flowers in the Merry Merlot CS folder and decided they work brilliantly! I checked my dies and found the flowers were from the Apron Builder Framelits Dies! I stamped and fussy cut the three Merry Merlot branches, whereas SU stamped directly on to the layer. The only other change I made was to add a scalloped die cut circle behind the sentiment. To finish my card, I decorated the inside of the card in a similar style as the front, but minus the pearls!
When I decorated inside the card, I stamped very few branches, so I could stamp the berries on top. They still show through, but only very slightly; certainly not enough to worry about! That’s it from me today. Don’t forget to order the products above if they’re on your wishlist! In the meantime, until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
