Today’s card has been CASE’d from some cards posted to the Facebook group called Demonstrators Party Planning by Severine Lefebvre Brochet. She posted them yesterday morning, and there were several cards all which featured the same bauble design from the All is Bright Designer Series Paper (DSP). I don’t know how many different cards Severine posted, but I was struck by two thoughts.
The first was that her selection of designs would be excellent for a one sheet wonder. The second was that the card I CASE’d looked for all the world that Severine had deliberately positioned her circular sentiment so that the silver top of one of the baubles pictured on the DSP was immediately above the circle, which made her circle look like a bauble itself. It looked absolutely brilliant, and I just had to CASE it. I made some minor changes but without changing the actual deisgn.
I adhered some Gold Foil to a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, and die cut four corners from the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies. I played around with the four trying to make up my mind how I liked them best! Two top corners? Two bottom corners? All four corners? After much deliberation, I decided on the top two corners. Once I had adhered them in place, the plain Very Vanilla CS on the bottom half of the card looked too bland, so I dry embossed it using the Sparkle Embossing Folder. I covered the join with a strip of the Gold Metallic Very Vanilla Ribbon.
I heat embossed the sentiment, which is from Snowflake Sentiment Stamp Set using Gold Embossing Powder, on a Crumb Cake design DSP which is also from the All is Bright pack. As I wanted to adhere the sentiment is to the card front, I adhered it to a circle of Crumb Cake CS first. I decided not to add anymore but to decorate the inside of my card. I added a layer of Gold Foil, and then a layer of Very Vanilla CS. I decided to use the remaining two die cut Gold Foil corners in diagonally opposite corners. I’m very pleased with my finished card, and would like to thank Severine for her inspiration.
That’s about it from me today. I hope you have a great weekend, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
