Hello, Crafters.
We had a lovely evening yesterday celebrating hubby’s birthday. We went over to daughter Vicki’s, for dinner with her husband Leigh and three of our grandchildren – Jack, Molly, and Ben. As the children get older, we see less of them, so it really added a lot to the pleasure of the evening. Molly had made a chocolate birthday cake which pleased hubby no end!
I created today’s card using the second stamp set in the Snowflake Showcase Promotion that’s on offer during November. It’s called Happiness Surrounds and is useful all year round. I chose the sentiment IT’S YOUR DAY as it suits several different occasions. Today I’ll be videoing this card ready for tomorrow morning. The colour is Balmy Blue which is one of my new favourite colours, although I do miss Soft Sky! I used the die set Snowfall Thinlits Dies.
The little branch die is from this set, but it cuts the centres out of the leaves. I didn’t want that look for my card so I adhered the cut-outs back in place. I know that probably sounds terribly tedious, but it was much easier than it sounds. Once you’ve seen how it’s done, you can either use them with the cut outs, or choose different leaves from another die set, or use the Sprig Punch. I stamped and die cut two of the flowers and have adhered the second flower inside my card, minus the leaves.
I’m not sure what colour I will use on the video today, but I do have a terrific selection to choose from. That’s it from me today, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. Until then, happy crafting.
JanB.

Jan. Omg I didn’t like this set until I saw your projects. I’ve ordered it and it arrived yesterday. Thanks for all your inspiration. Your creations are awesome!!!
Inky hugs,
Terry ~~
Many thanks, Terry. I’m really pleased you like today’s project! I’ve wanted to do a frame with the image coming out of it for a long time. Once I’d started, flowers just seemed to cascade out of the frame, too! LOL! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
Belated “Happy Birthday!” Othman! You and I are very close when it comes to birthdays! Glad you had such a lovely time with your family and even got to eat chocolate cake!! LOVE the card, Jan and I’m really looking forward to the video tomorrow! The blue and white is so clean and crisp!!
Hi, Geraldine. I love Balmy Blue although it’s a shame we’ve lost Soft Sky. In the video I used Soft Sea Foam which is another gorgeous colour. Happy crafting, JanB. xx
