Hello, Crafters.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and are feeling nicely refreshed as we start the new week. Our weekend was fairly quiet as Hubby was on call working from home. Today I’m going down to Basingstoke to have some crafting fun with Jenny and Sam – Mum and daughter – who are both in my team. Sam has battled some very serious health issues this year. Fortunately, she is one very determined young lady and has come through the other side stronger and even more determined than she before! Praise be to God for keeping Sam safe.
Today’s card is another card I started as part of the Stampin’ Up! challenge called Simple Stamping. I really tried hard to keep it simple but I decided to do the sentiment in Merry Merlot and then heat emboss using Clear Embossing Powder. I think I should make two cards, the first one as Simple Stamping, and then second card stepped up! So for this one card one would be a strip of cardstock across the centre instead of ribbon, the sentiment stamed in Merry Merlot Ink, and punched out with a circular punch.
The second card, which is the one I’m sharing today, would be the stepped up version! I wrapped a piece of the reversible Merry Merlot and Copper Ribbon around the card about a third of the way down. After I’d I wiped over a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (CS) with my Embossing Buddy, I inked the sentiment stamp in Versamark Ink. Next I inked the stamp, which is fom the Snowflake Sentiment Stamp Set, in Merry Merlot Ink. I stamped it onto my piece of Whisper White CS, and then dipped it into my box of Clear Embossing Powder. After flicking off the excess Embossing Powder, I used my Heat Tool to heat set it. As soon as I saw the ink going shiny, I moved onto the next area and kept going until I had complete the whole image. I die the image using the third size oval Stitched Shape Framelit Die, and adhered it over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
I finished the sentiment by punching two Crumb Cake, two Tranquil Tide, and two Vellum CS leaves using the Leaf Punch. I adhered them by putting Mini Dimensionals under the leaves and sliding the stem under the sentiment. I finished the card front by adhering a small Pearl to each of the Vellum leaves. That’s why I take it when I’m about to Ativan Online have a nap or in the evening before I go to bed. To finish the inside of the card I added a layer of Whisper White CS, and deorated the bottom right hand corner with one Crumb Cake, one tranquil Tide and two Vellum CS leaves. A simple card with a truly lovely sentiment! I hope you think so, too!
I’d better get my skates on and make a move. My journey down to Basingstoke should take me about an hour, traffic permitting. That’s it from me for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
