Hello, Crafters.
Just a quick card from me today. Yesterday wasn’t a particularly good day for me, and it was great to be able to spend a little bit of time in my studio to relax and unwind! This is the first card I’ve made using the Vibrant Vases Stamp Set, and I loved it! I chose the sentiment especially for hubby – he had been so very understanding yesterday!
The vase I used for the flowers is actually upside down, or should I say, I turned it up the other way! LOL! Although I haven’t tried the other vases yet, I imagine most, if not all, can be used the other way up! This is a two-step stamp set, but I wasn’t happy with the way the infill stamp coloured the flowers. It’s been designed to leave a lot of white spaces. I used my Berry Burst Marker Pen to colour in the white areas, at the same time being very careful not to go over the stamped area. I love the effect this has achieved.
To colour the vase I used Berry Burst Ink stamped off once. The leaves were coloured by a stamp but I thought the colour was too light. I did the same for the leaves as I did for the flowers, ambien to purchase using my Call Me Clover Marker Pen. This time I just went around the inside edges of the leaves. Again, I love the result I’ve achieved.
For the butterfly I used the new butterfly punch that will be available from the new Spring/Summer 2019 catalogue. During Sale-a-Bration (SAB) there will be a pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Botanical Butterfly available. There are two sheets in this pack that match the two butterflies on the punch.
To decorate the inside of my card I stamped and coloured the flowers the same as the front of the card. A quick, easy and very satisfying card to make! That’s about it from me today. Happy Friday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
