Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! updated the Clearance Rack with discounts up to 60%. The products available will be different in each market; that is North America, South Pacific, and Europe. This is the link to see what is available on the Clearance Rack in Europe. If you go to my online shop to check this out, also check-out the Closeout sale. It has been set up with the discounted products in a section on its own! Very handy!
Today I’m posting out the second batch of Spring/Summer catalogues and Sale-a-bration (SAB) brochures to all my customers. I have just a handful left to do, which will be in the post tomorrow. If you would like to be one of my customers and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demo, please email me your details and I’ll be happy to pop a copy of the catalogue and the brochure in the post to you. I’ve put two small samples in with all the catalogues, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise by saying what they are!
Today’s card is an average Christmas tree card which I’ve made pop by adding the Red Rhinestone lights. I have often tried using these rhinestones on my projects, but just didn’t feel the red was the correct red! But today, I think I hit the nail on the head.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) I’ve used is from All is Bright, and the green is Shaded Spruce. I wanted to use the green ruched ribbon but it’s Tranquil Tide. The two colours are very similar until the two are put together, and then the Shaded Spruce is a fair bit brighter. I adhered a strip of Shaded Spruce ribbon along the Tranquil Tide Ribbon. I heat embossed the sentiment using Shaded Spruce Ink and Clear Embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Star of Light Stamp Set.
I painted the Christmas tree using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped part of the tree in the bottom right hand corner of the Whisper White Cardstock layer. For the Christmas lights, I punched some 1/8″ circles from some red Glimmer Paper (now retired). I also painted the tree the same as I did the main tree on the front. That’s about it for today, until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
