Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday was a brilliant day of surprises! It started with booking to go to the OnStage Convention in April to Telford. Then there was excitement over the next hour while other ladies in my team of Super Stars also booked to go to Convention. We ended as a group of six, which includes two first-timers. While I was planning today’s video, I saw an email come in which confirmed that a lady I had been talking to recently, had joined my team!During the evening, I had an email from one of my customers who said she’d like to join Stampin’ Up as a hobbyist. I emailed the details of what she needs to do. I also has a response from a lady who’s been in my team for almost a year but has been fairly quiet recently. We spent some time catching up by email. Eventually, I received an email from her to say she had just booked for OnStage – so that’s seven of us, and another first-timer. I’ve been a demo for almost seven years now, and I still get unbelievably excited about OnStage and meeting my Super Stars.
It has been agreed that I’m going to organise another craft day, for the day before OnStage. The hotel we’ll be staying in doesn’t have meeting rooms, so I telephoned the Beefeater Restaurant next door! They don’t have meeting rooms either, but they have agreed to let us have a round table in a quiet area of the restaurant. The really good news is that there isn’t any charge, as long as we’re eating and drinking.
Today’s video spawned from the So Hoppy Together card I shared with you recently. One part of the original card I wasn’t happy with was the lack of a background. I changed this by stamping some trees behind the frog. Next I used daubers to colour the sky blue and the grass green. I’m really pleased with my card now – it looks complete!I have another busy day ahead of me today. First I have someone calling from the double-glazing company. We have a leak in the conservatory roof! Mid-morning I have my accountant coming round to do my year end tax return for me. Then in the afternoon, I have a Zoom call with my IT guru. She is setting up a screen-share so she can teach me some more basics about using WordPress. When Catherine started re-designing my website, we agreed that I’d transfer from Blogger to WordPress. It’s been a good move, but I’m still learning how to get the best from it!
That’s it from me. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, and I look forward to being back with you on Thursday. In the mean time, happy crafting.

Jan I love your videos and your blog. Thanks for sharing. You had a very productive day yesterday. Congrats on your newbies. Wish I could recruit. It’s been a tough road so I stay a hobbyist
Inky hugs,
Terry~~~
Many thanks, Terry. I found recruiting really difficult last year, but I’m really pleased this year has started so differetly. I wish I had some brilliant advice that would help you. The only real advice I have is talk to everybody you meet, and that includes any repair men you have comig to your house. You never know whether they know someone who crafts. It will happen when the time is right! I wish you every success with Stampin’ Up! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
