Hello, Crafters.
My cards today have been CASE’d from a beautiful card made by Karen James, who’s in my team of Super Stars. Karen is a prolific cardmaker and is very skillful in all techniques! I always keep a supply of Thank You cards so I can send one with any catalogues I send out.To make today’s cards, I started with a sheet of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP). After I had cut out six layers that measured 4¾” x 3¼”, I was left with enough DSP to cut one more layer! I used Tombow to adhere each layer onto one of our Notecards. Each card is different because each layer is from a different part of the 12″ x 12″ sheet of DSP.
It was easy to decide which elements should go where after I had adhered a Pearlised Doily in the centre of each card. The Thank You image is from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set. I stamped it using Mint Macaroon Ink, and then punched it out using a 1½” Circle Punch. Using Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment in the centre of the doily! Then the fun started! The Butterfly Elements are one of the gifts available during Sale-a-bration (SAB). Before I started painting the elements, I broke them away from the base. I used my Stampin’ Blends as follows: butterflies – Dark Mint Macaroon; leaves – Dark Mossy Meadow; flowers – Light Granny Apple Green. My goal for each card was to use one butterfly, one set of leaves, and up to three flowers. I glued all the elements using Tombow. The final touch was adding some Basic Rhinestones on the back of the butterflies, and in the centre of each flower.
That’s about it from me today. Have a lovely day, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
