Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday the UK registered the highest February daytime temperature since records began. It registered as 20°C (69.08°F), and is set to stay like this for a little while! To create today’s card I used the Hop Around Framelits, which co-ordinate with the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set. The Framelits will be available for purchase during March only. I chose to make a Corner Fold Card to share today, and to remind myself how to make it, I had to watch one of my videos! LOL! Although I made the video two and a half years ago, card styles don’t go out of fashion! I have shared the video below!
My card base is Granny Apple Green Cardstock (CS), and I have also used Basic Black CS as well as Whisper White CS. I decided to stamp the front of my card using a splatter stamp from the Touches of Texture Stamp Set. Before I started stamping, I took a sheet of scrap paper to cover the cut angle from being stamped on because this piece will be flipped over, and the stamping would be visible from inside the card. Using Granny Apple Ink, stamped off once, I stamped all over the exposed area. I also stamped on the 2¾” x 2¾” Whisper White CS which was the base for my images.
Next I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the seated frog, and the dragonfly (?) on to scraps of Whisper White CS. I also stamped the lilypad from the Lilypad Lake Stamp Set. Using Stampin’ Blends I coloured these three images. The colours I used are Light & Dark Granny Apple Green, Light & Dark Flirty Flamingo, and Light Soft Suede.Next I used the Hop Around Framelits to die cut the frog, the dragonfly, and the large lilypad leaf the frog is sitting on! To give this leaf some character, I embossed it with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder, and then inked the edge with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. The transformation was amazing! The pink lily and the leaf were die cut with the die from the Lakeside Framelits. The sentiment is from Golden Afternoon Stamp Set, which means I used four different stamp sets on this card! I normally try and watch what I’m doing so that I don’t use more than two stamp sets! Yesterday I obviously took my eye off the ball!
To finish my card, I added two layers inside the card, and then stamped and coloured the dragonfly in the bottom right-hand corner. Note: the Hop Around Framelits set is one of four sets that will be available for purchase during March. All four sets co-ordinate with stamp sets that are available as Sale-a-bration gifts.
That’s it from me today. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Oh Jan, this card from 2.5 years ago, was the very first card I ever made and I still have it and still love it. Actually, I have it sitting on my craft desk. And obviously, you were the first person to teach me cardmaking. Thank you: Mal, Melbourne, Australia
Oh, WOW, Mal! And you still have the card! Many thanks for sharing this with me! What a lovely memory! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
