Hello, Crafters.
I CASE’d today’s card from Karen James, who is one of my Super Stars. Although I asked Karen if she minded me CASE’ing her card, I didn’t ask how she did it, nor the colours she used. My colours look very similar, so I’m not too far out! The two sentiments and the main image are all from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set.
The main stamp that goes from corner to corner is the same stamped twice. Before I inked the image, I covered the lowest piece with tape. After I had inked the stamp, I removed the tape and stamped the image. I covered the same area again with tape, inked the stamp, and removed the tape. Before I stamped the image, I turned it round 180°. This left a gap in the centre between the two stamped images.
I knew the centre of the two images would be largely covered by the big butterfly. In case any part was going to be visible, I drew some black dots between the two images to blend in with the dots already on the image. Next I stamped the image and sentiments using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used Light Rich Razzleberry and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to colour the main image. The butterflies are from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set. I stamped them using Memento Ink, and I’ve followed the colours Karen used as they appear to me. These colours are Stampin’ Blends Blackberry Bliss, and Rich Razzleberry Colour Combos. The lightest colour in the centre is Light Flirty Flamingo.
The cardstock I’ve used is Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. The front of the card has been finished with some pearls. I couldn’t put pearls on the inside of the card, so I painted the butterfly with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen instead. Many thanks to Karen for letting me CASE her card – it’s really gorgeous! Thanks, Karen. That’s about it from me today. At lunch time I off to see Sharon to get my nails done. I hope you have a super weekend, whatever your plans are, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx.

Hi, Cathy. Never underestimate yourself! We are all – me included – our own worst critics! We see a minor blemish as a huge mistake. Others don’t even see the blemish! Go for it and enjoy. I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend, and happy crafting. JanB. xx
