Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday I played with the Country Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder again, but this time with the Lovely Lipstick Foil. Both of these products are available as FREE Sale-a-bration Gifts. They will only be available until 31st March 2019, or while stocks last! The card I shared yesterday included some of the embossed flowers which I had fussy cut. I did the same again for today’s card, but I cut from the back of the Foil. The reason is that I suffer with migraines and have to be careful of “flashing lights”. This includes certain foils. When I looked at the foil side of my first fussy cut flower, I saw it had created a tiny white edge all the way around. I thought about painting around the edge with my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker to cover the white, but I liked the look. There were also some very small white “marks” on the embossed foil layer, and the fussy cut flowers. I painted them using my Marker Pen – it did the trick brilliantly!
I embossed another piece of Lovely Lipstick Foil to use on the front of my card. After trying a few arrangements, I decided I wanted to use half a layer together with half a layer of All My Love Deisgner Series Paper (DSP). The design I chose made Crumb Cake my co-ordinating colour with the Lovely Lipstick. I knew I wanted to use one of the large fussy cut flowers, which meant I needed a fair sized sentiment. After checking through my stamp set reference file, I found three sentiments that would be suitable. I stamped all three onto some Whisper White Cardstock (CS), using Crumb Cake Ink. This made it easy to choose the most suitable sentiment, which was from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set.
I die cut the sentiment using one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. The size I chose allowed space to adhere a fussy cut foil flower underneath the sentiment. I started to build my card with a Crumb Cake CS card base. Next I added a layer of Whisper White CS inside the card, and one on the front. I cut one piece of embossed Lovely Lipstick Foil and one piece of the Crumb Cake DSP. Each piece measured half of my regular top layer size! I adhered them in position using Tombow. I wrapped a piece of 3/8″ Classic Ribbon in Crumb Cake over the join and adhered the ends at the back. Using Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment and one of the large fussy cut flowers on the front of the card. My final touch for the front of the card was to add some pearls in the middle of the flowers. I adhered the second large fussy cut flower inside the card as my final touch!
I’m amazed how easy it is to make such a stunning card using an Embossing Folder with some Foil Paper. When I showed hubby, he said it looks like velvet! As I said earlier both of these products are only available until 31st March 2019, or while stocks last! If you like one or both of them, please order sooner rather than later, just in case! That’s it from me today. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
