Hello, Crafters.
Today , I’ll be at a Craft Jumble Sale to see if I can sell some of my non-Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, cardstock, card bases and envelopes. I’ve had them sitting around for over seven years gathering dust, unused and unloved! My Stampin’ Up! supplies have started to spread outside my studio, and onto the landing. If I can sell my non-SU craft supplies, I’ll be able to rein in my SU goodies!
I CASE’d today’s card from a card I saw on Pinterest made by Shelly Godby. Shelly is one of the top demos in the US who I met on the Incentive Trip to Thailand two years ago. While we were chatting, our hubbies were also chatting only to discover that they both work for the same company, but mine in the UK and Shelly’s in the US! When I saw Shelly’s card on Pinterest, I just knew I had to CASE it. It would have been easier if I’d clicked on the link to find out the size if the window, and also instructions on how she embossed the layer through the window. The Embossing Folder (EF) was from Petal Pair which was a pack of two slim folders. Shelly obviously put the cardstock through the Big Shot twice, but when I did it, the join was very visible.
I changed over to use the Lace Dynamic EF. The flowers around the window top and bottom are both from the same set of dies as the bird and the sentiment. It’s called Petals & More Framelits Dies. Although this stamp set and dies are no longer available as a bundle, it’s still my absolute favourite. The stamp set is particularly good to use in videos because the images are so easy to colour.
To decorate inside the card I added two layers in Sahara Sand. Next I die cut another set of flowers and adhered them in the bottom right-hand corner. I love tone on tone, especially in Whisper White. This card would make a beautiful wedding card if it was changed to Whisper White! If you’d like to check out Shelly’s website, it’s www.stampingsmiles.com. She is also on YouTube, and can be found easily if you type in her name. That’s about it from me today. I hope you have a fabulous weekend, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Hi Jan & SNAP, I am doing exactly the same thing as you. Needed to create more space in my craft room for my Ladies. I have loads of Non-SU stuff, including paper card, stamps & dies.
Why on earth do I collect cardboard, that & other things are going in the recycle bin next week. Why also do I keep Large boxes e.g. Electrical and mixers and SU boxes too. They need to be broken up and binned too.
I never used to be a hoarder.
Hopefully I’ll be finished this week. Pity they dont have Jumble Sales here in Aus!
Hi, Barbara. We did the jumble sale this morning and it was a huge success, although it hasn’t made any impression on the amount of non-Stampin’ Up! stash I have. This was the first craft jumble sale we’ve done, and can’t wait for the next one. I’m really motivated to get loads more ready to sell! It does sound as if you’re a worse – or better? – hoarder than me! LOL! I think garage sales are more popular in Aus, aren’t they? I remember my parents both liked to go to them! I wish you success in having your clear out! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
Beautiful card Jan, just love how clean and soft it looks. Will be appreciated by for many occasions.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hi, Seletta. I love the single colour card, and I can see this in all white as a wedding card. Happy crafting. JanB. xx
