Hello, Crafters.
The Country Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder is amazingly versatile. I have used it four days in a row to create four very different cards. It will also be making an appearance in Sunday’s video, but I’ll be using one of the ideas I’ve already shared with you. I don’t want to spoil the surprise for Sunday, but this will not be the star of the video!
I embossed a layer in Whisper White Cardstock (CS), and chose Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green as my two colours. Using Daubers, I went over the leaves in green and the flowers in pink. This has to be used in the same was as the Whisper White Craft, and that is “gently”. With this technique, less is definitly more. I also recommend you start with a very relaxed attitude towards the “colouring” aspect. As you will be using two colours, it’s inevitable that the green will get onto flowers and the pink will get onto leaves. This doesn’t matter and it won’t do anything towards spoiling your work!
When the embossed sheet has been coloured, it doesn’t need much in the way of embellishments, or decoration. I decided to have a brief sentiment, and some ribbon without bows. Using Flirty Flamingo Ink, I stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY stamp from the Southern Serenade Stamp Set. Next I die cut it with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, and I layered it onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo CS I had die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Then I added three strips of Flirty Flamingo Ribbon top and bottom of the card. The 1/8″ ribbon is on page 5 in the Spring/Summer Catalogue. I decided to put three strips of ribbon around layers of Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White CS for the inside. To finish my card I added some Silver Metallic Pearls to the centres of the flowers on the front of the card.
That’s about it from me today. I’m off to the hairdressers this morning. I wish I could take some crafting with me but I know I wouldn’t be able to keep my head still! LOL! I hope you have a fabulous Friday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting!

Oh I love this Jan, I have a few embossing folders but have never tried adding colour to the card afterwards. Those colours work lovely together.
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.

Hi, Helen. Since I started playing with this embossing folder last weekend, I haven’t stopped. And the great thing about these techniques, they work with most embossing folders. Have fun trying them out! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
Another thank you for sharing your pink and green country floral card with myself and all the people that follow you. I look forward to seeing them every time I open my emails.
