Hello, Crafters.
This is my third card this week using the Country Floral Embossing Folder. Each card has used the embossed cardstock in a very different way. The first card was with Basic Black Cardstock (CS) and sponged with Craft Whisper White Ink. I used Lovely Lipstick Foil for the second card. For the third card – today’s card – I’ve used Whisper White CS, and used the layer as a background! This Embossing Folder is only available as a FREE Sale-a-bration (SAB) Gift, and SAB ends on 31st March 2019, so please don’t leave it too long if you’re planning to order it!
I’m inclined to say this card is a great way of using up scraps, but with the amount of scraps I have, the amount used won’t even make a dent in mine! LOL! To cut the squares to the right size easily I used Layering Squares Framelits Dies and the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. I normally use the Stitched Dies on the inside, but I changed it around this time. The centre squares on the front of the card are size no. 3 and the Stitched Squares are no. 2. The Designer Series Paper is All My Love, and the sentiment is fron P.S. You’re the Best Stamp Set. I’ve used hearts in some of the squares, and they are from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits (page 6 Spring/Summer Catalogue). I adhered the hearts onto the squares, and then I painted them using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. The hearts are the leftovers from the wide die of which consists of several hearts attached to each other.
I punched the Pool Party flowers out using the daisy-like punch in the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (page 25 Spring/Summer Catalogue). Using a rounded pencil, I curled all the petals upwards before I adhered them onto the squares. I added a large Basic Pearl to the centre of each flower. To decorate inside the card, I adhered a layer of Lovely Lipstck CS, and then a layer of Whisper White CS. Inside the card I used Layering Squares no. 1 for inside, and Stitched Square no. 1 for the Lovely Lipstick CS layering square. To complete these squares, I added a heart to the centre of each.
This is a very simple, very basic, but very pleasing card to make, and is suitable for almost any occasion. That’s it from me today. I hope you have a lovely day, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
