Hello, Crafters.
Hubby has gone back to work today, so it’s my first day back to “normal” since OnStage. Yesterday was a day of playing catchup! First on my list was to try on loads of clothes I’d ordered from one of my two favourite UK stores Next; my other favourite is Marks & Spencer. A couple of weeks ago, Next had a huge online sale, and I ordered about 18 items. It sounds a lot but I ordered everything in two sizes. I don’t normally do that, but when it’s a sale, if I find my normal size doesn’t fit for any reason, by the time I order the next size, it’s sold out!! When I’d finished trying them on, I had to find homes for two items, and parcel the rest up to send them back!
Unfortunately, three members of my team who had booked to join us at OnStage weren’t able to attend for personal reasons. I said I’d collect the goodies they’d receive if they had attended, and send them on by courier. That was my second job yesterday. Two of the bags went into one box as it was for mother and daughter. I also put in the boxes the items they would have received from me if they’d been able to attend. They should receive their boxes, which also contain the new catalogues! – on Wednesday.
Yesterday evening, Stampin’ Up! released the RETIREMENT LISTS for the Spring/Summer Catalogue, and also the 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalogue. Click on the catalogue links to view the lists. These lists are released to give us all the heads up of what isn’t being carried forward, and therefore giving us a chance to buy them before they disappear altogether! Please note most of these products are while stock lasts, or until 3rd June 2019; whichever comes first! It’s sad to see that Lovely As A Tree is finally being retired – it’s been the longest surviving stamp set for a very long time. Is there someone in the US who knows exactly how long?
Today’s card is from the Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin Special that’s going to be available in the UK from 1st May 2019. Paper Pumpkin is a subscription based stamp set that has been in the US, I believe, for eight years. It has been hugely successful, and we have been asking Stampin’ Up! if we can have Paper Pumpkin in Europe, and demos in the South Pacific have also been requesting it. I fully understand there are certain logistic issues to getting it to Europe and South Pacific, but please, please, please can you help to convince Stampin’ Up! it would be a huge success here in the UK by buying a kit when it’s available – this kit is a one-off!
In the Hugs From Shelli Special Edition Paper Pumpkin Kit you’ll receive twelve pre-printed card bases, twelve printed envelopes, a stamp set, a special stamp block, an Early Espresso Ink Spot, embellishments, die cuts, and Dimensionals. Everything you need to make twelve beautiful cards; all you just need to supply are Paper Snips (scissors) and glue. I’m not sure how many card designs there are, but I think PP normally has two – maybe someone in the US can correct me on that, please! The bottom line of this is the price……………..a mere £20! That’s £1.67 per card, and you get all the other products too!
That’s a lot of news for one day! I’ll be back tomorrow, and in the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB.
