I hope your enjoying your weekend. I’m off to Church this morning, and will have some time in my studio this afternoon. It’s a quiet weekend for us as hubby is on call. I was asked if I would make a video showing how I made the Petal Palette card I shared with you on 16th. March 2019. My original card was made in Sahara Sand Cardstock (CS). I made a second card immediately before I made the video to remind myself how did it! This time I used Very Vanilla CS, and the card I made in the video was made with Shimmery White CS. The inspiration for this card came Shelly Godby: https://www.stampinsmiles.com/. I saw her card on Pinterest. The stamping on my first card was in Stazon Tuxedo Black Ink on Sahara Sand CS. I thought it looked too dark for such a light-coloured card. For the second and third cards, I decided to use Crumb Cake Ink. It looks very soft and subtle! The Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder I used for the background through the window produces the most amazing results.
On the first card I had two flowers which needed a pearl in the centre, and on the second card I arranged it so there were three flowers with pearls. I know it’s only a small detail, but I thought the three pearls looked regimental, whereas the two pearls looked relaxed. Needless to say I made the third card with two pearls! Am I being too picky, or do you agree?
I wish you a very blessed weekend, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. Until then, happy crafting.
