Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday I was working on my project for Sunday’s video. I’ve been requested to show how to make a swing fold card. Although I haven’t quite finished decorating the prototype, I have worked out all the measurements and cardstock needed. Today I’ll finish it off and get the video made. Once I was happy that I was on course for Sunday’s video, I decided it was time to switch off, and make a card to share with you today. When I was working on the video card, I did a test panel using the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. I wanted to check that I was using the right colours. This meant I finished up with a good panel that was in the wrong colour. Rather than let it go to waste, I decided to build today’s card around it.
The stems on today’s card have been stamped in Garden Green, but the green in the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack (DSP) is Shaded Spruce. When I stamped the stems in Shaded Spruce, I wasn’t convinced it looked any better than Garden Green. I decided to stick with Shaded Spruce because that was the colour stated on the DSP pack! Looking at them both as I’m sitting here writing, neither colour looks wrong, and neither look any better than the other one!
I used Calypso Coral stamped off once for the large area of the flower. Then I used first generation for the accent stamp. I adhered a piece of Whisper White Flax Ribbon under the stamped image, which I had adhered with Dimensionals. In the centre of each flower on the front of today’s card, I adhered a Gold Metallic Pearl.
To decorate the inside of today’s card I sat and enjoyed some relaxing fussy cutting! I chose a design from the DSP which closely resembled my stamped image. In all I cut three sections so they go from side to side. I think it looks very pleasing, very summery! That’s it from me today. I must get my skates on to make my video. I hope you have a fabulous Friday and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

Absolutley gorgeous, as usual! I think this stamp set will definitely be on my “most used” list.
Hi, La Rae. I’m so pleased you like this card. I agree with you! I think because it’s what I call random stamping, it’s a very verstaile stamp set! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
