Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday I received my OnStage PPP (pre-order) goodies and all I can say is WOW! Even though I had already seen all the products on display at the Convention, I was still WOWed when I went through the box checking everything that was in there. And that’s only part of it. My regular pre-order is also on it’s way! How much can any crafter take? LOL!Yesterday I decided to take a break from making Thank You cards and decided to make a masculine card. It was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. When I bought the Best Route Designer Series Paper (DSP), I didn’t buy the stamp set that was in the same Suite. Neither did I buy the embossing folder, Washi Tape or the Best Route Enamel Shapes either! With the absence of these other products, I had to make sure the DSP did the work to make this card a success.
I’m always very conscious to make sure I don’t make masculine cards dark and dreary! This is often a fair critiscism of masculine cards but it doesn’t have to be that way! For the banner I chose a piece of DSP that has two very bright colours i.e. Mango Melody (orange) and Pineapple Punch (yellow) on a white background!
Another criticism I often hear about masculine cards is that “he’s………………not into cars, not into fishing, not into sport, etc”. I’m sure a lot of you reading this can relate to this totally. Although I know there will be men who are not into flying, I think areoplanes are a better option. Do you agree?
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Better Together Stamp Set, which I’m really sorry to say is retiring. It’s another stamp set that has been excellent value for money for me. Although I’ve used Blueberry Bushell Cardstock (CS) for my card base, the medium Baker’s Twine is in Night of Navy. I remember being somewhat disappointed with it when I first bought it quite some time ago. My disappointment was with the colour; I didn’t think it was dark enough for Night of Navy! I’m totally happy with it now because it goes with Blueberry Bushel brilliantly!
The Basic Grey Enamel Shapes I’ve used as an accent on my card, retired a few years ago! The colour of the CS on the card base is Grey Granite, and the sentiment has been stamped in Blueberry Bushel. As I explained earlier, I didn’t by any other products in the Best Route Suite, which made decorating the inside of the card a bit of a challenge! I settled for two half inch strips of the aeroplane DSP, one top and one bottom inside the card!
That’s about it for from me today. I’m expecting another SU delivery this morning. It should be my workshop order for my customers’ happy mail. Getting everything sorted out and packaged together will keep me happy. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, whatever you’re planning to do. I’ll be back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime, happy crafting.

Hi, Teresa. I’m so pleased to see you up and about again. I trust everything went well! The Christmas Cataologue goes live on 4th September 2019. I’ll be sending them out towards the end of August and I’ll make sure you’re on the list. JanB xxx
