Hello, Crafters.
Today’s card features another stamp set that is carrying forward to the new catalogue. It’s called Botanical Bliss, and has a matching set of dies called Botanical Tags. Three of the dies in this set are absolutely brilliant for creating gift tags or bookmarkers. I used one of these dies for the rose on the front of the card. There are also two more dies in the set to cut the fancy part of the tag/bookmarker away from the main body of the tag/bookmarker. No need to fussy cut them! I used the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder for the top Whisper White Cardstock (CS) layer. To create the sentiment layer, I stamped HAPPY BIRTHDAY using Tranquil Tide Ink. Next I stamped the branch of flowers and leaves in Sahara Sand Ink. I decided to use the number 3 Stitched Shape Oval Framelits Dies. As I’m writing my blog, I have the card standing in front of me, and I’m thinking I should have layered it onto a scalloped Berry Burst Oval Die Cut. Later today, I may see If I can remove the sentiment from the front of my card and add the extra layer.
Using Tombow I adhered the Berry Burst Rose. I die cut three sprigs of leaves, using Tranquil Tide (CS). Using Tombow I was able to gently manoeuvre the sprigs to go in the directions I wanted them to go in! By doing this, it makes the sprigs look less than identical! I adhered the Whisper White Embossed top layer to a middle layer of Berry Burst CS. Next I wrapped a piece of the Berry Burst 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around this layer, and tied a bow at the front.
I added a layer of Berry Burst and Whisper White CS inside the card. In each of the two bottom corners, I stamped the branch of flowers and leaves I’d used on the sentiment oval. I pointed them upwards and towards each other. I adhered a second die cut rose in the centre.
The envelope came next! Is this becoming a regular feature? I used the the same design layout that I used yesterday, but with the flower and leaves stamp. Just to make it a little bit different, I stamped three images on the back flap, too! Each time I stamped this image, I used Sahara Sand. Tofinish my card I added five Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in Rich Razzleberry, on the Tranquil Tide sprigs of leaves. I also added three Silver Metallic Pearls between the sentiment and the sprig of flowers. The photograph above is the front of the envelope, and below is the flap of the envelope.
I’m pleased with the finished card, although I do have a question mark over the sentiment – with or without a Berry Burst Scalloped layer? That’s about it from me today. I’ll be back with you tomorrow, and in the meantime happy crafting.

Gorgeous card and I really like how you finished the envelope.
Many thanks, Karen. This is a new thing for me, and I like the idea too! Happy crafting, JanB xx
I love the card as is, but think it would also look lovely with the addition of the Berry Burst scallop layer. Thank you for your clear instructions.
I agree with you, Ali. The more I looked at my card, the more it looked that something was missing! Happy crafting, JanB. xx
