Hello, Crafters.
On Saturday hubby and I went out for a little while, and when we arrived back home, the postman had delivered a parcel for me. When I opened it, I couldn’t believe what I was looking at! I had been sent the Paper Pumpkin (PP) Kit Poppin Birthday, March 2019 and the Sentimental Rose, April 2019. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was. My gift had been sent by a subscriber friend who lives in Arkansas. I think all demonstrators in Europe and South Pacific would love to have PP, and having been blessed to receive PP kits, I’m totally convinced it would be a huge sucess over here! Before I move on, I must say a HUGE thank you to Pat for her amazing gift – I love it! Thank you, Pat xx.There are several reasons why I love Paper Pumpkin. First of all it’s amazing value for money. I don’t know how much it is in the States, but our global PP Hugs From Shelli is €26/£20! To keep the price down, Stampin’ Up! haven’t included the clear block for the stamps. So an increase in price for the block is still going to keep PP reasonably priced. The next reason I love PP is that it’s an all inclusive kit, which makes it ideal for new crafters! Crafters only need to add scissors and glue! Experienced crafters will find their own ways to put their spin on the designs. In North America lots of demos put videos on YouTube showing alternative ways of making cards with these kits.
I have put my own spin on the Sentimental Rose, but have stayed pretty close to the original designs. The last photograph I’m sharing today shows the intended designs of the three cards in this set so you can see how I upped the design. This kit comes with an Acetate Box to put the nine completed cards and envelopes in and decorated. The cards are then ready to be given as a gift, or sold at a craft fair. I can’t say which is my favourite card because I like all three the way I’ve done them! LOL! I tell you about all three in the order they appear on the instruction sheet tomorrow!
I understand that SU plan the Spots so they never repeat the same colour until they have been through all current colours i.e. every five years. (Maybe someone in North America can confirm if this is still the case, please!) Theoretically, at twelve colours a year, in five years you will have received one of all the colours!
That’s it for today, or I’ll be writing a short novel! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend and are ready to face a wonderfulnew week. I look forward to being backwith you tomorrow, and in the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx
