Hello, Crafters.
It’s back to work for the UK today after the May Day Bank Holiday. Some days when I’m working in my studio, I really surprise myself at how much I get done! Yesterday was one of those days! I made all my customer April thank you gifts, so all I need now is for my Hostess Code order to arrive, and I can get my April Happy Mail sent out. Today’s Thank You card is number two for the Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC). The goal Stampin’ Up! has set is 400 cards, but I’ll be very surprised if we don’t exceed that number big time!! As I explained yesterday, I also have a customer who has asked if I’d make five Thank You cards for her. My plan is to make one card every day as my contribution to WHC, and to make a similar card for my customer.
For each card, I used two different designs from the the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’m pleased with the two finished cards. Please not that the Pacific Point ribbon is retired.
To add some contrast colour to the card with the bow, I adhered some pink flowers I’d fussy cut. The design they’re from is the reverse side of the DSP I’ve adhered them to! I used four of the flowers that were on the edge of the sheet, and therefore needed to be adhered on a straight line! On the same sheet, I fussy cut two complete flowers that were attached to each other and used them for the second Thank You card.
I’m definitely going to order more of the Multipurpose Adhesive sheets before they retire! They make like so amazingly easy when adhering intricate die cuts like writing. I think it’s such a shame it’s not being carried over! On the positive side, it makes room for something new to come in!
I’m not sure where the embellishments I’ve used are from. I’ve checked the current annual catalogue and the Spring/Summer catalogue. They are either retired, or I’m missing them as I check through the catalogues! Unusually for me, my photographs show the glitter from my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen! YAY! I haven’t decorated inside of today’s cards as they’re Thank You cards, and I like to leave as much space for the sender to write their note. It was an oversight to add the butterflies to yesterday’s cards, but it’s not crucial!
That’s about it from me today. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.
