Tunnel Spinner Card Video

Uncategorized

26 May

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you’re enjoying a great weekend. The weather here in the UK is gorgeous at the moment i.e. it’s very warm without being hot, and quite breezy which is helping to keep the heat down beautifully! In today’s video, I demonstrate two techniques in one card! The first is a tunnel card, and the second is a spinner card. The tunnel part of the card is very easy, and although it isn’t difficult, the spinner is a bit fiddl, but it’s well worth the effort! The recipient will be thrilled to receive it! If the spinner really isn’t your cup of tea, you can leave it out. It doesn’t interfere with any other part of the card.I made is the Lemon Lime Twist card first, and used a Stitched Rectangle Framelit Die number 6 for the aperture inside. My second card was the Blushing Bride block design DSP, and I made the aperture using the largest Layering Circle Framelit Die. For the video, I went back to the Rectangle Stitched Framelit dies, and used a smaller die, number 5. I don’t have a favourite; I like them all!I was asked if I would make a video showing how to make a tunnel card. When I started looking for tunnel cards on YouTube, I found that there was more than one type of tunnel card. Fortunately, I received a photograph with the video request, which kept me on the right track!I hadn’t made one of these cards before, so I watched a few videos on YouTube. Most crafters scored the inside cardstock in four equal panels. Also, some crafters made this layer the same size as the card base. In both examples it meant that the centre fold was very close to the opening. I didn’t want this because I was putting the butterfly spinner in he aperture, and was level with the centre fold. The result of this could have been that the spinner could have been slightly visible when the card is closed! I worked out th  sizing that I needed so this isn’t an issue with my card! I’m really pleased with how this card turned out, and as I said previously, I don’t have a favourite as far as the aperture is concerned. The Beauty Abounds Stamp Set is currently available as a bundle with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies, which saves 10% but only until 3rd June 2019! Both products will be available in the new catalogue, but not as a bundle! If this is on your wishlist, please consider buying it before the current catalogue retires! You couls spend your 10% saving onother goodies!

That’s it from me today. I wish you a very blessed Sunday, and I look forward to being back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.

JanB. xx
