Hello, Crafters.
Today’s video was inspired by a video made by Dawn Griffiths aka Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts. I needed to amend the sizes to suit A4 cardstock, and I also changed a couple of things. It really is a great card to make! Many thanks for the inspiration, Dawn.
Yesterday evening we had our stag/hen nights. Othman went out with the six men to an escape room in Epsom and then to a curry house. I went with four ladies to an escape room in Surbiton, and then to a restaurant in Banstead. This was a first for both of us, and would be very happy to visit an escape room again.
I hope you enjoyed the blog hop on Friday. It was very interesting for me to see other demos takes on some of my fancy fold cards! I have received my swaps from the group, so I’ll be back some time to share with you.
In the meantime, I wish you a very blessed Sunday, and happy crafting.
JanB. xx
So happy for you Jan (and Othman) but please do explain what an escape room is. Must be a UK thing. I am so happy for you both. XXX Mal, Melbourne.
Many thanks, Mal. We have loads of these places in the UK. Different places vary with the amount of rooms they have and each room has it’s own theme. The girls had Clue-tan-kharmun – I don’t remember how they spelt it but if you say it as I’ve written it, you’ll get it! It had an Egyptian theme! What happens is that you are locked in a room and you have 60 minutes to escape by working out clues for the codes to padlocks that kept cupboards, drawers etc. locked. When they were unlocked, there were more clues! We were out in 56 minutes! Initially I stood and watched- totally bewildered – as the others workrd their way through the clues and on to the next one. Once I had worked out how it all worked, I joined in solving clues! It was great fun! Try Googling Ecscape Rooms in Melbourne (or Austraia). I’d never heard of them until my daughter told me! xx
there is a show here in the States that uses the same theme …called “Jack Black Celebrity Escape Room”. Sounds like a lot of fun, but I’m claustrophobic and can’t stand the thought of being “locked” in a room and have to find/solve clues to get out.
Hi, Rita. Yes, I did feel a bit apprehensive at first but it wasn’t long before I understood what we were doing and I joined in the fun. This made me forget we were in what was effectively two rooms! xx
Thanks Jan. It sounds fun. 6 days to go. XXX Mal
