Hello, Crafters.
I think yesterday was my productive day all week. My day started with a list of jobs to be done that was as long as my arm! Sometimes it acts as a brilliant motivator for me. I started from the top, and was working through the list when I had the first of two lovely surprises I received yesterday.
My UPS man arrived with a small box which contained my 2019 – 2021 InColour Marker Pens, including Purple Posy. I was really thrilled, and put them on the pile of new products that need to be sorted out. This is one of the bigger jobs on my list of jobs to be done. Shortly after my delivery, I had an email from the PR company Stampin’ Up! uses for promoting the Incentive Trip after it’s happened, as a way of encoraging new recruits.
The Greek Islands was my third Incentive Trip, but the first time the PR had success on my behalf. I had told Leah that our local newspaper was almost non-existent and suggested she might like to try the town next door. After my previous experience, I put it out of my mind and had forgotten all about it. Leah’s success was pretty random, but any promotion is good promotion – hopefully!
Her email included the links to two online news sites I’d never heard of but who had taken up my story! Many thanks to Leah for the effort she put into getting this arranged! These are the two links if you’d like to check out the articles:-

If that’s not enough excitement for one day, the card I made for today is my favourite of all five cards I’ve made so far! I’m surprised it’s my favourite because it’s so busy, and I always say I prefer clean and simple! This is the exception that breaks the rule. I used Very Vanilla and Night of Navy. The first part I did was to use second generation stamping with Night of Navy, and used the cluster of hearts stamp from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set. Next I embossed this layer using the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder!
Next I die-cut two of the lacy dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies in Night of Navy Cardstock (CS). I also die cut the band of various sized hearts thinking I could adhere it at the bottom of the Very Vanilla CS layer that I’d be putting inside my card. As it happened it was too wide! As an alternative, I used the hearts that were puched out and adhered them along the bottom intead, including two hearts linked together.
I used the same HAPPY ANNIVERSARY sentiment I have used on the first three cards which is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, but I also used a second sentiment. It was also from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set and reads I’LL LOVE YOU UNTIL THE DAY AFTER FOREVER. I think this is fabulous! My absolute favourite sentiment reads “I love you more today than I did yesterday, but not as much as I will tomorrow”! I wish I had this as a stamp!
I die-cut both sentiments using the Layering Ovals Dies, and layered them onto scallopped ovals I’d die-cut from Night of Navy CS. Today’s card is the first card in this challenge that I’ve added ribbon to, and I tied the bow as small as I possibly could! The ribbon is the retired Night of Navy Gingham ribbon! At the moment I am colouring some Basic Rhinestone Jewels with my Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend. The colour at the moment is a very pretty light Royal Blue, which isn’t dark enough to convince me to add it to a masculine card. So the jury is out on this one at the moment!
That’s about it from me today! I hope you have a super weekend, whatever your plans are. It’ll be a great weekend for us because hubby isn’t working! I look forward to be back wth you tomorrow with a fabulous fancy fold card video. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend and happy crafting!

Hi Jan,
I have loved everyone of your Masculine cards this week!
I wanted to tell you that your favourite saying is my favourite as well.
My father gave my mother a round gold charm years ago that says that very thing and she wears it around her neck – I LOVE IT!! ( she is 94 )
I also wanted to mention that I have had a stamp made of a saying that I really wanted. I took it to my local copy store – where they also make address stamps, business stamps etc. I typed it out in the font I wanted and they made me one which is the same as the red rubber stamps we get from Stamping’Up. I don’t know if you have stores like that where you live?
Many thanks for your feedback, Candy – it’s really appreciated. That’s such a lovely story about your parents! I know of one company that makes photopolymer stamps to order, but not the more durable red rubber. I’ll ask in my local copy shp, and failing that I’ll ask around to see if anyone knows of a place that makes them. xx
Hi Jan I’ve loved all the masculine cards this week too, great inspiration thank you so much. Looking forward to tomorrow’s video
Many thanks, Diane. I hope you enjoyed the video, and like tomorrow’s last Masculine Anniversary card! xx
