Hello, crafters.
I’d like to start by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone for their good wishes, kind thoughts, and for waiting for me while I was recovering from my tooth extraction and following gum infection. THANK YOU. xx
As you can see, I’ve been back in my studio! I chose to make a nice and simple Christmas Card, and am very pleased with the result. I have to be honest with you and tell you this is my second attempt! I knew I wanted to make this using Silver Foil, but made the first card using Gold Glimmer Paper! All I can say is that it didn’t look very nice at all! It was very OTT (over the top!)
The dies are from the Christmas Layers Dies, and the sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. They are in the Christmas Catalogue on page 16, and are available as a bundle, which saves 10% on the individual prices. I heat embossed the sentiment using Silver Embossing Powder. The font on this stamp is stunning.
To decorate the inside of the card I added a layer each of Silver Foil and Whisper White Cardstock. I cut a third die-cut and cut it into two pieces, and then I adhered one piece in each of the two bottom corners.
If I continue to feel better today, I’ll be doing a lot of catching up, which needs to be done before going on our honeymoon on Sunday. It’s lovely to be back here with you! Assuming my improvement continues, I’ll be back with you tomorrow. In the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB. xx

Keep improving and Happy Honeymoon Bon Voyage.
Many thanks for your good wishes, Jeanette. xx
The pic came through looking like the base and mat were the palest blue…From the items used listed at the bottom, it now appears it may have been white…is this correct? Silver and white?
Hi, Barbara. The card is Whisper White on Silver Foil. Normally when I photograph silver, it appears as black. I changed my lighting for this card so the silver can be seen, but it has affected the overall effect. I’m no photographer! Happy crafting. xx
Wishing you a happy honeymoon and hoping your tooth is all fixed by then. Take care.
Many thanks, Barbara. xx
